Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) is used to generate clean electricity from the sun, usually at utility scale. It is particularly suitable for regions with high Direct Normal Solar Irradiance (the so-called sun belt).

In Concentrating Solar Power, a set of mirrors is used to concentrate the sun’s rays on a central receiver. This heats up a liquid which is then used to generate electricity in a conventional thermodynamic cycle.

Four types of CSP technologies exist:

For those technologies using such mirrors, AGC Solar builds on its experience as glass processor to also provide extra clear and extra thin mirrors to be adhesive-bonded onto a supporting structure.
